Rain forced a second-day draw in all but Fremantle’s win over University and Willetton’s defeat of Mt Lawley.

With the Roos struggling at 4-42 chasing 189, the draw may have worked in their favour at Kingsway.

But with a fairly reliable middle order, Wanneroo would have no doubt been disappointed to be denied the opportunity for a comeback victory.

The Roos remain in ninth spot, complicating their chances for a top six finals berth with three matches to go. Wins to Fremantle and Willetton hurt Wanneroo, which was on equal points with both sides heading into the round, but is now 10 points shy.
