West Coast Fury Cheerleading’s Sub Zero team will compete in the Australian All Star Cheerleading Federation National Cheer and Dance Championship in Melbourne.

The 16-member team, who range in age from eight to 14, are led by coach Rachael Munt and the club is raising money and seeking sponsorship to cover travel and entry costs.

Fundraising committee member Karen Mettimano said it would be the first time the team had travelled outside of WA for a competition.

“It is an amazing opportunity for all of our athletes, providing them with lifelong memories and the chance to further their cheer career, along with teaching them confidence and teamwork,” she said.
