Staff WriterWanneroo Times

WEST Perth pulled a game clear in second spot after a grinding Garlic Munchers Cup win over South Fremantle at Arena Joondalup on Saturday.

While the Falcons led for the majority of the WAFL clash, the Bulldogs offered them little breathing space with the margin never going beyond 16 points in a 9.17 (71) to 8.8 (56) victory in difficult conditions.

South Fremantle’s only lead of the match came with a 3.3 (21) to 3.2 (20) buffer at the end of the first quarter.
