Wanneroo resident successfully competed in the Aerobic Gymnast Australian Championships

The nine-year-old Wanneroo resident recently travelled to the Aerobic Gymnastic Australian Championships in Brisbane, winning the 9-to-11 years age division.

Rebecca, who competed with sister Olivia, was part of a WA contingent that dominated proceedings, particularly in the elite female 18 plus division where competitors took gold, silver and bronze.

She scored 17.00 to easily better her six opponents, who scored between 15.90 and 15.10.

Her efforts earned her a spot in the Australian national squad for 2014-15.
