Rockingham floating cabins a WA first

Gabrielle JefferyWeekend Kwinana Courier

ALLOW your problems to float away at the new Life Spring Float Tank Centre in Rockingham.

The centre’s state-of-the-art floating cabins are pod-like and quite large.

The new store is the first of its kind in WA, with three giant double cabins, as opposed to the standard floating egg-shaped pod.

“The Life Spring Float Tank Centre has been in Cockburn for several years and shared the benefits of floating with more than 7500 people,” owner Narelle Anderson said.

“The new cabins offer the floating experience to those who may not have been able to float due to claustrophobia or disabilities. The floater now has the opportunity to float with a friend or carer to help in the treatment of many illnesses, such as fibromyalgia, muscle aches and pains, arthritis, addictions, phobias, anxiety and depression.”

The floating experience is generally a one-hour period floating in water that has magnesium bath salts in it.

“The body absorbs the magnesium and clients leave feeling energised and relaxed with a general feeling of well-being,” Ms Anderson said.

“It’s similar to the Dead Sea experience.”
