Anzac history at Koorliny

A wall near the Box Office will be covered in paper poppies, in remembrance of military personnel who have served in war.

Community members from Rockingham and Kwinana are invited to provide photos of family members who have served in war to add to the display.

General manager Kate McIntosh said community-based arts projects had a number of benefits for organisations and participants.

“Art enables people to share their experiences, thoughts, feelings and imaginations, and enriches our lives by providing us with a way to see and experience the world through the eyes of others,” she said.

“We want to be part of sharing powerful personal and community stories.”

People who provide photos are also asked to include a 100-word description, including the name and age of the person in the photo, and a contact number.

The display will be featured for two weeks from April 18.

The community is invited to visit the display and add a poppy to the wall.

Photos and descriptions can be emailed to monique@koorliny.com.au by COB March 18, 2016.
