READ NOWClustered into sets of three to five, the totems will have a 300mm diameter and will range from 1.5m to 2.3m in height. The totems can be circular or square and can be painted, carved, clad or even used as signage to tell a story.
Cedar Woods WA State manager Ben Rosser said he encouraged local artists and community groups to submit their expression of interest.
“We’re keen to showcase the skill and artistic flair of the region, marking the launch of the development with interesting art pieces that the community can be proud of for years to come,” he said.
Local artists and community groups are encouraged to be inspired by the themes of life’s little moments, homing in on local history and how nature complements our life.
“Aligning with our themes, we welcome out-of-the-box ideas to create a visually appealing piece of artwork for our residents and locals to observe and enjoy,” Mr Rosser said.
“Millars Landing has an established colour palette however; splashes of earthy colours are encouraged to add contrast to the estate.”
Expressions of interest close March 23. Email Angela@creatingcommunities.com.au.
