ALIENS and spaceships are among the creations on display at the People Beyond the Stars exhibition at the Darius Wells Library and Resource Centre.
The exhibition was created by students from Kwinana Christian School who used a variety of techniques to illustrate a fictional journey into outer space.
Year 1 and 2 students designed their own alien and spaceship while Year 3 and 4 students found the idea of an alien landscape captivating.
Year 5 and 6 students drew their inspiration from William Roger Dean whose paintings were brought to life in the movie Avatar.
Students dressed as aliens last week during the launch of the exhibition, which runs until October 7.
City of Kwinana Mayor Carol Adams said the council was proud to exhibit the work of the young students and encouraged people to view the exhibition.
“This is a great opportunity for our young people to share their work and interpretations with the local community,” she said.
“These works prove we have some talented young artists in our midst and we are proud to be able to nurture these gifts.”
