THE Ocean Clipper Inn is holding A Voyage Back in Time exhibition and is seeking maritime photos and memorabilia.

Manager Dean Morton said there were more than 100 pictures, dating from the 1800s to now.

“From convict vessels to warships to navy vessels, we have it all,” he said.

Mr Morton said the historical maritime display was a tribute to the region’s rich history.

The motel was opened in 1982 and has been managed by former navy crew.

“Naval personnel would come to shore, gather family and friends to come down here for a drink, a meal and a night’s accommodation or two,” he said.

“All of these factors combined are the reason why the hotel has gone with the nautical theme and to why we have all this maritime photography and memorabilia.

Mr Morton asked if members of the public could donate or loan photos or memorabilia.

“They will be well looked after and valued,” he said.
