Rockingham New Year’s Eve celebrations to go off with a bang

ROCKINGHAM locals will ring in 2018 with a family-friendly event held on the Rockingham Foreshore at Churchill Park.

On Sunday 31 of January from 5pm, live entertainment, free children’s activities, rides and attractions including a performance from Aussie favourite Shannon Noll will be on offer families to enjoy.

The evening will be capped by two firework displays at 9pm and midnight.

Mayor Barry Sammels said community members are invited to celebrate this event.

“The City’s New Year’s Eve celebrations always attract a great crowd with over 25,000 people in recent years, and offers a fantastic night out for the whole family,” he said.

“It’s a great opportunity to come together and reflect on the year’s memorable moments and remember how fortunate we are to be living in such a beautiful region, with award-winning beaches, easy lifestyle, community events, excellent education, sports and recreational facilities.”

This year marks Rockingham’s 17th new year’s eve celebration event.
