ROMANCE author Alli Sinclair is making a special trip from the eastern states to feature in Stories on Stage.
“I’ve heard wonderful things about Stories on Stage and am delighted to have the opportunity to meet Perth readers in a fun evening of talking books,” she said.
It’s Sinclair’s only big appearance in Perth as part of her promotion for her latest book Beneath the Parisian Skies.
The book is described as a sweeping saga about love, truth, grief and passion – and what it takes to fulfil one’s dreams.
Sinclair spent her early adult years travelling the globe, intent on becoming an Indiana Jones in heels.
She scaled mountains in Nepal, Argentina, and Peru, rafted the Ganges and rode a camel in the Sahara.
Argentina and Peru became her home for a few years and when she wasn’t working as a mountain or tour guide, she could be found in the dance halls dancing the tango, salsa, merengue, and samba.
Sinclair said her books were often steeped in history or inspired by her travels.
“It’s a joy to write stories that take readers on emotional and cultural journeys that they can experience from the comfort of their armchair,” she said.
Sinclair captured romance readers’ interests with her debut novel Luna Tango, which was voted Book of the Year in the AusRom Today Readers Choice Award in 2014. She was also voted Favourite New Romance Author in the 2014 Australian Romance Readers Association Awards.
In 2016, Alli was voted Best Established Author in the AusRom Today Readers Choice Awards.
