Songs of Hope EP launch in Rockingham

Vanessa SchmittWeekend Kwinana Courier

EARLIER this year, 10 singer/songwriters embarked on a journey to write and record an album of original music around the theme of hope.

All songwriters had lived experiences of mental illness and a passion to write music that inspires, encourages and influences for the better.

The participants were filmed for a documentary, allowing them to share their stories of hope and break down stigmas around mental illness.

In just 10 weeks, the participants will have written and recorded their songs and will get up on stage to perform them live.

The live event will be filmed as part of the documentary.

All profits from the live performance will go back into repeating the project in June.
