Wellard Long Table Dinner showcases local retailers

MORE than 60 guests enjoyed a village dinner with a twist in Wellard.

Residents came together to share an alfresco feast on long tables set up along The Strand at The Village at Wellard.

The Long Table Dinner guests, including City of Kwinana Mayor Carol Adams and Councillor Sandra Lee, were treated to a six course dinner, with each course supplied by the local retailers of Wellard Square.

Guests enjoyed garlic bread from Subway Wellard, mixed Nepalese platters from Bliss Momos, fish and chips from Oceans British Chip Shop, Chicken Katsu Don and Teriyaki Tofu Don from My Noodle Rules and custard tarts and vanilla slice courtesy of Bake My Day. Kwinana Pizza served up dessert pizzas.

The Long Table Dinner at The Village at Wellard is a bi-annual event which has been designed to bring the community together in a unique way, welcoming new residents and showcasing what the local retailers have on offer.

The Village at Wellard Residents Association volunteers ran the bar and waited tables.
