A hairy month ahead for Safety Bay Bowls Club members

Club Member Thad Bochat said last year the club raised $7000 for the Movember cause, which raises money for research and programs targeting men’s health issues such as prostate cancer, testicular cancer, poor mental health and physical inactivity.

Already sporting luscious locks, Mr Bochat and fellow club member Steve Wright will join several other members in a shave-off at the club on Sunday, November 29.

Both are keen for as many club and non-club members to get involved.

“There will be a sausage sizzle on the day, it will be a lot of fun,” they said.

The shave-off will start at 4.30pm and anyone is welcome.

Sandy McMonagle of Colourworks for Hair will be there with her trusty and sharp razors and shears to trim the hirsuit men on the day.
