A man was assaulted and his car was stolen at a Rockingham jetty this morning

ROCKINGHAM Detectives are seeking information about an assault at a jetty on Val Street in Rockingham this morning .

At 3.30am, a man in his 30s was approached by two unknown men. They assaulted him and stole his car keys.

The man received facial injuries and was treated at Rockingham Hospital. His injuries were deemed non-life threatening.

The two men were last seen heading in a westerly direction along the Esplanade, Rockingham with the stolen vehicle, a 2006 blue Mitsubishi Lancer 1CDM 560.

The vehicle is fitted with roof racks and a camouflage coloured kayak was secured to the racks.

Anyone with any information relating to this incident or who has seen the Mitsubishi Lancer, registration number 1CDM 560 is asked to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or report online at Crime Stoppers.
