A woman (62) died after a traffic crash in Shoalwater yesterday

A FEMALE pedestrian died after a traffic crash in Shoalwater yesterday.

Major Crash Investigation Section officers are investigating the fatal traffic crash on Arcadia Drive, which occurred at about 5.25pm.

It is alleged a white Holden Statesman was travelling in a northerly direction and the driver lost control and struck a pedestrian walking in the opposite direction.

The 27-year-old driver did not receive any injuries from the crash, however a 62-year-old female was taken by St John’s Ambulance to Rockingham Hospital, where she later died from her injuries.

Major Crash Investigators are seeking witnesses to the crash. They would like to speak to anyone who may have seen the Holden Statesman driving in Shoalwater prior to the crash. Call Crimestoppers on 1800 333 000.
