Aerial support sent in to Baldivis bushfire

AN bush fire in the northern part of Baldivis has been extinguished this afternoon.

Aerial support crews were sent in to assist fire fighters on the ground before the fire was successfully put out.

More than 30 career and volunteer fire and rescue service firefighters attended the fire which started near Millar Road and Telephone Lane, near Kwinana Freeway.

At one point smoke was so bad the Freeway had to be closed.

The fire did not threaten lives or homes.
