Ako Japanese children’s choir returns to Rockingham

A JAPANESE children’s choir from Rockingham’s sister city Ako will perform at the Rockingham Centre on Thursday.

Mayor Barry Sammels encouraged City of Rockingham residents to attend the free performance.

The Ako Children’s Choir last visited in 2016.

“The cities of Rockingham and Ako have a longstanding friendship that dates back to 1997 and we are delighted to welcome the Ako Children’s Choir once again,” Mayor Sammels said.

The choir of 18 children will sing songs in English and Japanese at 5.30pm.
