“We know there is strong demand among local residents for an alternative place to shop and we are eager to show people the benefits Aldi can bring to their wallets and their lifestyles,” she said.

The store will also vary from other Aldi stores with a new format, including redesigned shelving and expanded wooden produce bays, as well as energy-efficient LED lighting and chillers.

She said WA shoppers would not pay higher prices compared to Aldi stores on the east coast for all products except fruit and vegetables, due to regional sourcing.

The new store is in Secret Harbour Shopping Centre on Secret Harbour Boulevard.

It will be open Mondays to Wednesdays 8.30am to 6pm, with extended trading until 9pm on Thursdays, Saturdays 8.30am to 5pm and Sundays 11am to 5pm.
