A WELLARD man has been charged following an armed robbery of a service station in Kwinana Beach this morning.
Detectives took the 32-year-old into custody after the service station on Ocean Street was robbed at about 12.05am.
The man allegedly entered the store armed with a knife and demanded cash from a staff member, which was handed over.
Detectives from the Regional Investigations Unit attended the scene and executed a search warrant at a residence in Wellard, where the man was arrested.
He has been charged with aggravated armed robbery, and was also charged with an armed robbery that took place in South Perth on June 13, where he entered a service station on Canning Highway and threatened staff with a knife.
He was refused bail and was due to appear in Perth Magistrates Court yesterday.
