BALDIVIS has been named as one of Australia’s top streaming areas for TV entertainment.

It was the top TV streaming area for WA and fourth in Australia.

Pakenham in Victoria took out the top spot, followed by Dubbo in NSW.

Telstra group executive consumer and small business director Vicki Brady said as more Western Australian households connected to the NBN network, and streaming entertainment continued to grow, the demand for data was reaching new levels.

“In the past year alone, traffic carried over our fixed network has increased by 40 per cent,” she said.

“Streaming entertainment content has become a way of life for many people, with around two-thirds of us now streaming our favourite shows.

“We’re also using more connected devices in the home than ever before.”
