Baldivis: burst water main causes flooding

Vanessa SchmittWeekend Kwinana Courier

A BURST water main caused significant flooding in a residential street in Baldivis this afternoon.

Water Corporation Perth regional manager Garth Walter said crews responded to a broken water main on Britten Turn.

“The main was isolated by 1.15pm to minimise the amount of water lost while we assess the extent of the break and carry out repairs,” he said.

“The cause of the broken main is not yet known.

“Our customer service representative will work with the owner to determine if there has been any water damage.

“A small number of properties in the area are currently without water due to the isolation of the main and we have bottled water available should residents require any.

“We thank local road users and the community for their patience while we assess the damage and carry out the necessary repairs which will be completed as soon as possible.”
