Baldivis bushfire forum to inform community on putting together fire plan

WITH bushfire season well under way a community forum is being held to inform Baldivis residents how to have a plan should they find themselves in a fire situation.

Organised by Baldivis MLA Reece Whitby and endorsed by the Department of Fire and Emergency Services (DFES), the forum will by hosted and supported by local firefighters and Baldivis Volunteer Fire and Emergency Services at their station on Eighty Road, Baldivis.

The forum is set for Monday, December 11 from 5pm.

During the forum attendees will receive a free Bushfire Ready Kit, produced by DFES.

Residents are encouraged to take it home and have a ‘fire talk’ with their family so should that dreaded day come the whole household knows what needs to be done in order to get themselves, loved ones and pets out safely.
