Baldivis continuing to boom, says ABS

BALDIVIS is the sixth largest growing suburb in Australia and the second largest in WA, according to the latest data released by the Australian Bureau of Statistics.

The suburb’s population increased to 32,817, after an 11.5 per cent growth rate in 2015-16, with 3389 people moving into the area during the 12-month period.

The grouping of Singleton, Golden Bay and Secret Harbour was WA’s 10th largest growing area, with a combined population growth of 3.7 per cent, up to 20,523. Anketell and Wandi were the fourth fastest growing suburbs, increasing by 13 per cent to 2068.

Bertram and West Wellard had the eighth fastest growth, up 9.1 per cent to 13,242, while Casuarina and East Wellard were 10th, with a growth rate of 6.6 per cent to 2452.
