MORE: Baldivis bushfire given all clear by DFES
FIREFIGHTERS are trying to contain a scrub fire in Baldivis that started near Kulija Road and Baldivis Road.
A Department of Fire and Emergency Services (DFES) spokeswoman said the fire, reported at 1.10pm today , was burning on the northern side of Kulija Road with no current threat to lives or homes.

READ NOWDFES said the bushfire was moving slowly in a westerly direction and was controlled but not contained.
“At 1.24pm the fire was 100m x 50m, the running fire has stopped but requires DFES Helitacs for water supply,” the DFES spokeswoman said.
The cause of the fire is unknown and there has been no recorded damage as of yet.
Police and about 30 firefighters are on the scene.
The bushfire warning was issued for people near Kulija Road, Mandurah Road, Baldivis Road and Millar Road West in the northern parts of Baldivis.
Roads have not been closed but motorists are asked to avoid the area, reduce speed and drive carefully due to smoke.
People are asked to report any suspicious behaviour to Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
