A BALDIVIS man’s choice of butter has landed him a $1000 fine at Rockingham Magistrates Court today.

Matthew Cropper was sentenced after pleading guilty to two possess cannabis charges and three possess drug paraphernalia charges at the court.

He was arrested after police conducted a search warrant at his Baldivis home on September 6.

During the warrant Cropper declared a small amount of cannabis in a wooden bowl, plastic bongs.

Police also found blocks of cannabis resin in a bathroom cupboard which Cropper referred to as ‘cannabis butter’.

The duty lawyer said the 32-year-old had used the cannabis for pain relief from diabetes.
