An unlicensed Yamaha trail bike was on Beckingham Parkway, near Wall Way, at about 8.35am.

It is believed the rider was on the incorrect side of the road, when he saw another vehicle approaching from the opposite direction.

The rider attempted to get back to the correct side of the road, but lost control of the motorcycle. He rode across the verge before colliding with a parked caravan in the driveway of a house.

The rider was not wearing a helmet or protective clothing at the time. He was taken to Royal Perth Hospital with serious injuries.

Police would like anyone that saw the crash or the trail bike prior to the crash to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
