ONE of this year’s many Biggest Morning Tea events will feature a twist, with wearable teabags.
The Baldivis Biggest Morning Tea is on at the Mary Davies Library and Community Centre on May 25 from 10am to 11.30am.
Held in the library space, morning tea will be served from the library cafe.
Also, live music will entertain guests while they marvel at some unique tea-inspired garments.
City of Rockingham Mayor Barry Sammels appreciated the help provided by local artists.
“We have been lucky enough to borrow two dresses made from tea bags from the Wearable Art Mandurah competition for this event,” he said.
“They look amazing and are the perfect accessory for this worthwhile cause.”
The dresses are currently on display at the library and will remain there until June 2.
Entry to the Australia Biggest Morning Tea is by gold-coin donation.
Guests can book a table of four or six to “gather, share and give”, which is the theme of Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea.
For more information, contact the Mary Davies Library and Community Centre at 17 Settlers Avenue, Baldivis on 9591 0800 to make a booking.
