Baldivis MLA Whitby encourages residents to attend Community Safety Forum in Baldivis

Victoria RificiWeekend Kwinana Courier

Baldivis MLA Reece Whitby is urging residents of Baldivis, Waikiki, Cooloongup, Wellard, Bertram and Leda to attend the Community Safety Forum in Baldivis on May 29.

“Community safety is always an issue whether it be concern about break-ins, hooning drivers and feeling safe about taking a walk in our local streets and parks,” Mr Whitby said.

“This is your chance to make sure our police are aware of any particular local issues, so I urge anyone with an interest in community safety to come along, listen and have a say.”

Mr Whitby said he was pleased Police Minister Michelle Roberts would be in attendance to speak to the community.

“This will also be a great opportunity to talk about recent changes to our metropolitan police districts and what they mean for our local suburbs,” he said.

“It’s also a great place to meet the officers in charge of policing in our local districts.”

Local senior police officers will be available to answer people’s questions.

The event will start at 6.30pm and will be held at Mary Davies Library.

To RSVP your attendance, email baldivis@mp.wa.gov.au or phone 9523 2921.
