Baldivis mum braves the chop in fundraising effort to help sick friend

Her friend Samantha Firth was recently diagnosed with a rare form of ovarian cancer.

“This is a devastating diagnosis, especially given that Sam is only 29 years old,” Ms Bullock said.

“She is a much-loved mother to Ashton and Lachie and wife to Dave.

“Sam has already had surgery to remove the primary growths on and around her ovary, and she commenced an intense chemotherapy treatment regime in April.

“Dave currently works FIFO, but has ceased work indefinitely to be by Sam’s side and to care for their young boys.”

Ms Bullock has raised almost $1000 for the family.

“I would love to be able to pay for her PET scan that she had that confirmed her ovarian cancer,” she said.

“I think for her to not have this bill hanging over her would help her in a great way.”
