Vandals damage Baldivis oval after $200,000 spent on resurfacing

VANDALS tore up the Baldivis Brumbies oval on the weekend.

The oval on Fifty Road has been damaged with tyre marks.

Last year $200,000 was spent resurfacing the oval. The State Government and the City of Rockingham contributed to the resurfacing.

Councillor Matt Whitfield said the vandals had ruined it for the rest of the community.

“This is your money, if you know who is responsible please let the city know,” he said.

“This muppet has not just caused physical damage, but also the fact that hundreds of AFL players at the Baldivis Brumbies will be starting pre season soon on that very oval.”
