Baldivis: service station evacuated due to truck fire

A BP service station in Baldivis had to be evacuated this afternoon because of a truck fire.

The Department of Fire and Emergency Services received a call at 1.13pm alerting them to a truck on fire at the station, which is just off the Kwinana Freeway on the southbound side.

The truck contained general waste.

Seven appliances attended the scene and by 1.40pm the fire was contained.

The station remained evacuated at 2.25pm, with staff waiting for DFES to give the all clear to return inside.
