Baldivis: trio charged after police chase through southern suburbs

MANDURAH Detectives have charged three people after police chases yesterday .

A white Holden utility and a red Holden Commodore were seen in the Baldivis area about 10am.

It is alleged both vehicles evaded police.

After a short time, the red Holden was abandoned and three people ran away from the vehicle.

Two people were arrested nearby with help from the police Air Wing.

The white Holden was found abandoned in Baldivis and the driver was not located.

About 11.30am, the third person from the red Holden was seen in the Mundijong area, where it will be alleged the man stole another vehicle and evaded police through many suburbs throughout the South Metropolitan District.

Police Air Wing tracked the vehicle until it was abandoned in Medina, with the man jumping over fences and on to houses.

Damage was caused to the roofs of the houses and the man was arrested.

A 23-year-old man from Rockingham has been charged with stealing a motor vehicle and driving recklessly, stealing a motor vehicle, aggravated burglary and commit, five counts of criminal damage, being armed to cause fear, three counts of trespass, stealing, two counts of reckless driving to escape pursuit by police and assault to prevent arrest.

He is due to appear in Perth Magistrates Court today .

A 20-year-old man from Shoalwater has been charged with two counts of stealing a motor vehicle, two counts of trespass, burglary and commit, criminal damage and possess drug paraphernalia.
