Baldivis’ White Lakes Brewing wins environmental honour at AHA Hospitality Awards for Excellence

WHITE Lakes Brewing in Baldivis won WA’s Best Environmental and Energy Efficiency Practice Award at the Australian Hotels Association (AHA) Hospitality Awards for Excellence on Monday night .

The judges said White Lakes Brewing had implemented considerable investments into modern equipment that significantly decreases the impact on the environment.

White Lakes Brewing also partnered with several consultancy businesses, environmental scientists and local farmers to ensure that everything that can be reused, is.

The aim of the awards was to recognise venues for their hard work, innovation and outstanding service.

Employees were also honoured for their achievements.

AHA(WA) chief executive Bradley Woods said it had been a challenging year for some in the hospitality industry, but the dedication of owners, managers and staff was unwavering.

“WA’s hospitality leaders and employees who attended the gala ball all know what it means to work hard, to put in long hours and to go above and beyond delivering first-class food and beverage, accommodation and service,” he said.

“WA’s vibrant hospitality industry is a reality thanks to the courage and entrepreneurship of small to large business owners who have made significant investments in the future of our state.”
