The move was in preparation for Clean Up Australia Day.
Site supervisor Brand MHR Gary Gray said rubbish collected included blocks of concrete, plastic bags, a fishing rod and metal railing.
Mr Gray said Clean Up Australia Day was a chance to get together as a community to clean up the coastline, reserves, playgrounds and keep the environment healthy, clean and safe for everyone.
“The more people that get involved, the more we can do,” he said.
“Together we can make a real impact on the health and enjoyment of our beautiful region.”
