WA Police Gang Crime Squad officers have arrested and charged a 35-year-old Baldivis man with serious drug offences.
The man is a senior member of the Comanchero Outlaw Motorcycle Gang.
The man was arrested yesterday evening after a Misuse of Drugs Act search warrant was executed at his Baldivis home.
Police will allege he was the head of a syndicate supplying trafficable quantities of ecstasy tablets in Perth.
The man has been charged with possessing a prohibited drug (cocaine) with intent to sell/supply, supplying a prohibited drug and conspiracy to supply a prohibited drug.
His bail was refused and he will appear in the Armadale Magistrates Court today .
This arrest marks the third arrest of senior members of the Comanchero OMCG in WA in the past 18 months, with two previous State Commanders also arrested for serious offences.
Detective Senior Sergeant Darren Hart of the Gang Crime Squad said there was a link between OMCG and the illicit drug trade in WA.
As with other OMCG they exploit the vulnerable within our society for their own gain and contribute significantly to drug related problems in this state, he said.
WA Police urge anyone who is a victim of crime committed by OMCG members, or who has information on the activities of gang members, to come forward and report the matter to Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000. Callers can remain anonymous.
