Building site theft: police charge two men after $100,000 haul is disovered

ITEMS associated with houses under construction were recovered at a Waikiki property after Rockingham Detectives investigated the redistribution of stolen property online.

The aim of the police pro-active team investigation was to combat the rise in burglaries on homes under construction in the Rockingham area.

Yesterday, detectives searched a house in Grady Court. It will be alleged officers found an estimated $100,000 worth of stolen property.

Property items seized included ovens, hot plates, hot water systems, sinks, vanities, cabinets, bathroom fittings, tap ware, toilets, tiles, a bath tub, tradesman’s tools, a jet ski and a trailer.

A 30-year-old man from Waikiki has been charged with three counts of stealing and two counts of aggravated burglary and commit.

He is due to appear in the Perth Magistrates Court today.

A 39-year-old man from Waikiki was charged with four counts to stealing, two counts of aggravated burglary and commit, receiving, burglary and commit and possessing drug paraphernalia.
