Calista man (42) charged after leading police on chase through Parmelia

Vanessa SchmittWeekend Kwinana Courier

A 42-YEAR-OLD Calista man has been charged with a number of offences including evading police in Parmelia on Friday night.

It will be alleged about 11.45pm on July 1, officers from Regional Operations Group observed the man driving a stolen Holden Commodore north along Parmelia Avenue in Parmelia.

Police claim the man failed to stop for police and continued to evade them through several suburbs, driving at high speed and on the incorrect side of the road with the car lights off.

Tyre deflation devices were deployed on Gilmore Avenue and Thomas Road, causing the car to become undriveable.
