Cannabis, $40k cash found

Just before midday, police stopped a vehicle being driven by the man on Daly Street in South Fremantle.

Police claim they found 500g of cannabis during a search of the vehicle. Police then searched the man's house, where they allegedly found a hydroponic drug set-up, cannabis plants and cash.

Further inquiries led police to a business on Daly Street in South Fremantle, where they executed a search warrant. They allegedly found about 880g of cannabis and about $40,000 in cash at the premises. The male resident (50) of this address was arrested.

The 75-year-old was charged with possess with intent to sell/supply, cultivate a prohibited plant and unlawful possession. He is due to appear in Fremantle Magistrates Court on May 5.

A 50-year-old man of South Fremantle was charged with possess with intent to sell/supply, unlawful possession, 16 counts of offer to supply a prohibited drug, five counts of conspiracy to possess a prohibited drug and sold prohibited drug.
