During question time, Mr Mumme asked why people’s opinions of the proposal had been censored because, despite concerns being raised at several public meetings during preparation of the council’s local planning strategy, none had been included in the Community Engagement Outcomes Report.
Mr Mumme said opposition to the proposal and a desire to retain Point Peron’s natural character were raised at meetings he and his associates attended, but were not mentioned in 55 key outcomes from more than 460 responses to future planning in the city as part of its preparation of a new town planning scheme.
Cr Sammels said he was not aware of any censorship but it would be investigated.
