Bright Futures Family Day Care supports 105 home-based day care centres and about 50 in-home care workers looking after more than 1000 children.
Acting manager Andrea Harold said home-based childcare options were becoming increasingly popular for parents who did not work the traditional 9 to 5 job.
“Our educators can be more flexible with hours so we can cater for people who do shift-work or overnight work,” she said.

READ NOW“It provides a really good service for some parents who might work until midnight to know that their children are safe in bed.
“We provide weekend care as well.”
Each home-based service looks after a maximum of seven children and educators must hold a minimum of a Certificate III in childcare and education.
“It’s a smaller group so the children are getting more attention from the one educator and it’s more consistent care as well because it’s always the same educator which allows children to bond with them,” Ms Harold said.
“The demand for child care has never lessened – it’s increased with all the new families moving into the area.”
Ms Harold said Bright Futures was proud to be awarded best family day care in Western Australia.
The winner of the Family Day Care Australia National Award will be announced on October 24.
