The awards focus on community contribution and participation rather than personal achievement, and are handed out in a number of categories, including for those over 25 years of age and for those under 25.
Grahame Niven, of Baldivis, received the award for a person of 25 years or older, while 15-year-old Liam Howard received the under-25 award.
Mr Niven has been a charter member of Baldivis Lions Club since 1984, has lived in the suburb for more than 35 years and has been active in a range of activities and initiatives over that time.
