City of Kwinana hosting wildflower walk on Sunday

Gabrielle JefferyWeekend Kwinana Courier

LASHINGS of recent rain have woken up dormant native flora to burst with an abundant display this spring.

To mark the occasion The City of Kwinana is hosting a Wildflower Walk this Sunday from 10am.

There will be a formality to the walk as the Chalk Hill lookout tower will be officially renamed after its brainchild Rodger Hamilton, who used to work at the defunct BHP Rod and Bar works.

The guided walk will begin at the east end of Nottingham Parkway, Orelia at Rotary’s Wildflower Park.
