City of Kwinana provides scholarships to help students with education costs

Victoria RificiWeekend Kwinana Courier

CITY of Kwinana awarded 16 local students with scholarships ranging from $300 to $800 to assist them with educational costs.

Kwinana’s LyriK (Leadership Youth, Respect in Kwinana) Scholarship program recognises the educational achievements of local students and encourages further entry level qualifications and education.

For more than a decade the city has offered youth scholarships to help with financial support as the young people of Kwinana transition through their schooling.

Mayor Carol Adams said although it was an exciting time for these students, it would also be challenging for families to meet educational costs.
