City of Rockingham achieves gold in Waterwise Councils program

THE City of Rockingham has been awarded gold by the Waterwise Councils program.

The City was awarded the accolade for demonstrating actions across all Water Sensitive City goal areas.

The State Government awards are for councils demonstrating outstanding leadership in the community by embracing sustainable water practices.

Water Minister Dave Kelly announced the award winners at a special recognition event hosted by the Water Corporation.

The Waterwise Council Program is run through a partnership between the Water Corporation and the Department of Water and Environmental Regulation. It supports councils to improve water efficiency in their operations and communities, and to lead the way in water sustainability.
