CITY of Rockingham staff rolled up their sleeves to clean up the garden and varnish a cubby house at the Wanslea Early Learning and Development in Rockingham.

City of Rockingham chief executive Michael Parker said corporate volunteering helped to strengthen bonds across the city.

City of Rockingham staff cleaned up the garden and laid fresh woodchips at Wasnlea Early Learning and Development.

“Not only does corporate volunteering give community organisations the chance to boost their operations, it also gives city staff a fantastic opportunity to connect with residents and understand the value that local organisations like this bring to the community.” Mr Parker said.

“The work done at Wanslea Early Learning and Development is the first of three corporate volunteering efforts the City will engage in during 2019 and we look forward to helping other community groups in the months ahead.”
