Clean up your act: Serial driving offender given reprimand by magistrate

Appearing via video link from Bandyup Prison, Kylie Dayle Bolger was granted a suspended jail term after pleading guilty to her fifth driving while under suspension.

The court heard that on one occasion when Bolger was pulled over she had her children in the car as she was taking them to the beach because it was hot.

Magistrate Leanne Atkins said in doing so she had endangered her children and that it was time for her to take responsibility for her actions.

She suspended the six-month imprisonment and encouraged Bolger to show that she could change her ways.

Bolger’s licence was also suspended for a year.
