The group of green thumbs joined Coastal and Marine program manager Craig Wilson in an effort to help Coastcare with their vital rehabilitation programs.
The students were taught about the plant varieties along the Rockingham coastline.
They got tips on how to protect the plants from wild rabbits and the importance of handling them with care.
Malibu�s education support staff assisted the gardening enthusiasts with the planting.
Kwinana Industries Council director Chris Oughton said it was great to see local students getting involved and learning about the importance of coastline rehabilitation. The event was sponsored by KIC.
