Green has teamed with Esperance sculptors Chris Seimer and Phil Shelton to exhibit a series of works alongside Rockinghams main art exhibition, Castaways.

The exhibition has been designed to be complementary to the City of Rockingham Castaways sculptural exhibition and we hope it gives visitors a second arty thing to do while in Rockingham for that event, she said.

It is quite a privilege to have (Seimer and Shelton) both exhibit here, particularly Chris.

Green herself is a painter and teacher at Blue Zoo Art School in Warnbro, and will present a collection of 25 colourful coastal-themed paintings in gouache and acrylic. I love the colour of the coast and sea and am inspired by it from every vantage point, whether it be underwater, atop the water, standing on the beach or looking over sand dunes, she said.

I deliberately exaggerate shape and the range of colours that naturally occur in my view.

I hope my paintings make people think about how beautiful the coast is in WA, |particularly here in Rockingham.
