Comet Bay College students build cars for EV Challenge

Vanessa SchmittWeekend Kwinana Courier

COMET Bay College students are building their own electric vehicles to race in the EV Challenge.

Student mechanics and corporate teams from around Perth will race their cars at the Hurricane Go Kart Club in Wundowie on October 27. There are 42 entrants in the EV Challenge powered by Synergy.

Comet Bay College students designed and built small single-seat electric vehicles.

Powered by a limited capacity battery and built to a restricted budget, teams try complete as many laps of a closed course as possible in one hour.
